#1 in the World and Russia!Numero Uno wins again!

And when you think it's all over, with the young Italian stallion winning his first super-event, an early morning last round turns the tables: Magnus Carlsen wins his game with the "top-seeds-killa" Luke McShane, and Fabiano Caruana loses to Aronian! Nakamura and Radjabov drew their game, et voilá! Magnus grabs the title of the Tal Memorial for the second time in a row. Someone will say Magnus got lucky, and that he didn't do much to win this important event, but truth is he just did, and that shows he's still the numero uno. The whole event has been characterized by up-and-downs, with Morozevich dominating the first part of it, only to go on an awful string of losses, and make Caruana's hope raise, when the young GM got into last round half-point ahead the chasing duo Carlsen & Radjabov. But Levon didn't allow Fabiano's joy to materialize. He played a very good game, and the Italian boy found himself in deep trouble till the point he had to resign in a totally lost endgame. Magnus, with his usual sangfroid, realized that in the last round he was playing the theoretically weakest player of the lot, and went on defeating McShane to win the tournament. McShane had a great event anyway: it's always breaking-news time when an "amateur" is able to defeat top-guns like Morozevich, Kramnik and Aronian! the 7th Tal Memorial has been a very interesting and enthralling event: hard-fought games with the gloves off, sudden twists and all what make a tournament worth the early wake-ups.
