Chessclub.com Blitz with Inc! Championship!

              
The Chessclub.com Blitz with Inc! Championship starts May 14.  In
response to members' suggestions, Chessclub.com will host a 
Championship with Increments time control.  After reading suggestions
from members, we decided to use the 3 3 time control for this event.

This Championship, like most previous events, consists of three stages:
Qualifiers, Candidates, and Finals.  The Qualifier stage is open to all,
but qualification is needed to advance to later stages.  Free trial
members are invited to play in the first stage, but they cannot advance
to later stages without registering for a paid membership by midnight
on Saturday, May 20.
              
The 3 3 Champs will have an Under 2000 Champion and an Under 1500
Champion.  The top four finishers rated under 2000 and under 1500 in
each Qualifier will be invited to the respective Class Finals.  Please
see the web page listed below for eligibility requirements and other
details about the Class Finals.

The first stage will consist of 12 Qualifier events (8 round 3 3 
Swisses) during the week of May 14-20.  All Qualifiers will be 
held on LittlePer in channel 225.  There are no limits to the 
number of Qualifiers you can participate in.  Play in as many
Qualifiers as you can!!

The top 3 finishers in EACH individual Qualifier and top 6 in overall 
Qualifier "series" (cumulative score from all qualifiers combined) 
earn invitations to the Candidates Stage.  Alternate spots will be 
given to those who just miss out on qualifying.  The schedule of 
Qualifiers is as follows (all times are server time or EDT.  To see 
server time while at Chessclub.com, type "date")

SUN (May 14):     6am   Noon 
MON (May 15):                   6pm 
TUE (May 16):            3pm    8pm 
WED (May 17):                   9pm 
THU (May 18):            3pm    7pm 
FRI (May 19):            3pm    8pm
SAT (May 20):     7am   Noon 

The final Qualifier will start off the May Marathon.  Qualifier #12
will count towards both the Championship standings and the May Marathon 
standigns.  For more details about the May Marathon, watch for a news item 
appearing very soon.  Also, you may want to read help marathon. 

No pre-registration is required for the Qualifiers.  There is no limit 
to the number of Qualifiers you can play in.  To play in a Qualifier 
tourney, just show up and type "tell LittlePer join !" when the 
Qualifier is open.  For general info about tournaments, see "help

Top finishers from Stage 1 will be invited to Stage 2 which consist of 
two Candidates tourneys (8 round 3 3 swisses) the weekend of May 
27-28.  The top finishers in the Candidates earn spots into the Finals
which will be on Saturday, June 3.
