October Standard Tournament Signup

You are invited to join the longest running tournament at ICC.

The 84th Standard Tournament (October) begins Tuesday, October 7 on
ICC.  The entry deadline is 10 pm Sunday, October 5.  You play one
standard time-control game at 60 0 on four consecutive Tuesdays.  You
can choose to play in the 2pm, 8pm or 11pm sections.  Top finishers
receive prizes of ICC membership extensions.

Type help STtourney on ICC for the schedule of dates as well as
the rules of the tourney.  Players new to the tourney should also
type help STtourneyFAQ for answers to some common questions.

You may enter only one section/month.  You can register online at
http://www.chessclub.com/sttourney/signup.html. Or you can send the
message described in the STtourney help file to the STtourney or
STtourneyEurope accounts, depending on which section you enter.

Effective with the October 2003 tourney, prizes are improved.  In
addition, the rule for late arrival changes. The 30 minutes now
allowed for late arrival will be reduced to 15 minutes, after which
a forfeit may be claimed against a "no-show" opponent.  See the
