Tal Memorial 2009
Mikhail Tal has a special place in the hearts of most chess players. Tal deeply loved the game of chess and believed "Chess, first of all, is Art."
Fittingly, the 2009 Tal Memorial in honor of the "Magician from Riga" is the strongest tournament of the year, and one of the strongest fields of all time. The line-up (in alphabetical order) is: Viswanathan Anand, Levon Aronian, Magnus Carlsen, Vladimir Kramnik, Peter Leko, Boris Gelfand, Vassily Ivanchuk, Alexander Morozevich, Peter Svidler and Ruslan Ponomariov. The main event will be followed also by the World Blitz Championship.
There will be extended live coverage of the Tal Memorial each day here on Chess.FM. Just sign-up today for ICC and you can sit back and watch all the action from one of the strongest tournaments of all-time, as hosts Mig Greengard & Macauley Peterson
